ABOUT SHERI
Steady, grounded support for the things you’ve been carrying.
I’m Sheri Long, LCSW. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical — with space for honesty, emotion, creativity, and real-life tools.
Whether I’m working with a teen, an adult, a caregiver, or a helping professional, my goal is to create a space that feels steady, human, and safe enough to begin making sense of what feels heavy.

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK WITH ME
You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting.
What it is like to work with me In sessions, I show up as a steady and supportive guide—not someone with all the answers. I value curiosity, honesty, and a pace that respects each person’s story and nervous system. Whether I’m working with a child, a family, or an adult navigating chronic health concerns, I may incorporate creative and experiential approaches alongside conversation to support deeper understanding and regulation. My goal is always the same: to create a space that feels grounded, predictable, and human.
I value curiosity, honesty, and a pace that respects your story and nervous system. Together, we slow things down, make space for what feels tangled, and begin building clarity, coping tools, and emotional steadiness.
Grounded
Therapy should feel calm, clear, and connected to real life — not overwhelming or performative.
Collaborative
We work together. Your voice, goals, pace, and lived experience matter in the process.
Creative when helpful
For children, teens, and even adults, creative approaches can help make emotions easier to access and understand.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Clinical experience shaped by real people, real systems, and real life.
My work is shaped by years of walking alongside children, families, teens, and adults across clinical and community settings.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor’s degree from Nicholls State University and a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University.
My background includes work in homes, healthcare settings, youth service programs, and evidence-based family therapy models. I also lead and support therapists across multiple programs, helping ensure care remains ethical, effective, and deeply human.
MY APPROACH
A space where you can feel respected, understood, and supported.
A little about my work I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, collaborative, and real. My approach is grounded in connection, creativity, and the small, steady moments where people begin to feel seen and understood. I often integrate expressive and hands-on elements like art, play, and creative exploration to help people access and process what can be difficult to put into words. Because meaningful change doesn’t come from forcing it. It comes from understanding yourself differently—and responding with more clarity, flexibility, and intention.
That may look like a child finding their voice through play, a teen making sense of big emotions, or an adult learning how to put down what has felt too heavy for too long.
Wondering if this might be a good fit?
I’d be honored to connect and learn a little about what you’re looking for.
